Ubaid Shah – Islamabad United(IU)
Obaid Shah, a right-arm fast bowler, will join his brothers Haneen Shah, a first-class player, and Naseem Shah, a Test cricketer, at Islamabad United to strengthen the team’s pace attack.
The fast bowler has gained invaluable experience for the team after making his debut for Pakistan U19.
The news that I had been selected by Islamabad United took me by surprise. Islamabad United’s confidence in me means a lot to me, and I want to live up to their expectations by giving my all.
Joining the same squad as both of my brothers is an extremely thrilling experience. I am honored to be playing under the captainship of Shadab [Khan].
I am excited to pick up his intellect. HBL PSL has a fantastic experience.
Saad Baig – Karachi Kings(KK)
In the ninth HBL PSL season, Karachi will be represented by Pakistan U-19 captain Saad Baig, who was born and raised there.
In the ICC U-19 World Cup 2024, the wicketkeeper-batsman guided Pakistan U-19 to the semifinals. In the ACC U-19 Asia Cup last year, he guided Pakistan U-19 to the semifinals.
“It is a dream come true for any youngster to play in this league,” Saad stated in response to being chosen by the Karachi Kings.
Being chosen by Karachi Kings is something I’m proud of. It was a significant occasion for me.
I’ll be working with a very knowledgeable team in the dressing room, and I’ll do everything in my power to get better.
I would inquire about the work ethic of elders such as Kieron Pollard and Shoaib Malik.
He has played a lot of T20 cricket all over the world, so I will benefit from learning from him in the long run.
Mohammad Zeeshan – Peshawar Zalmi(PZ)
Muhammad Zeeshan is a promising young athlete with a lot of speed who plays for the Pakistan U-19 team.
The right-arm pacer causes trouble for the opposition with extra bounce due to his 6′ 8″ height.
Zeeshan reflected on his decision to join Peshawar Zalmi, saying: “Being chosen for Peshawar Zalmi was a significant event for me because the HBL PSL is among the world’s top leagues.
Babar Azam, the world’s greatest batsman, and I are in the changing room. I can’t wait to play and share with them.
Due to the batsmen’s constant attempt to charge, T20 cricket gives bowlers little room.
I believe this is where forms come into play. Success requires that you have control over your yorkers, bouncers, and slow balls.
Faisal Akram – Multan Sultans(MS)
In the ninth HBL PSL, Faisal Akram, another left arm wrist spinner, will play for the Multan Sultans.
The Karachi Kings had originally selected Faisal in 2022, but he warmed the bench in the following two seasons.
Faisal is looking to make his HBL PSL debut this year after having a strong domestic season.
“I’m thrilled to have been chosen to represent Multan, as it’s my hometown.” I will play with all of my heart on the pitch if given the opportunity.
This season, I am the top up-and-coming player. Still, I’d like the season to end.
This year’s Multan Sultans are really strong. Reza Hendricks and David Mullan, two international players, as well as our captain Muhammad Rizwan, are the players I am most excited to study under.
Syed Faridoun – Lahore Qalandars(LQ)
Syed Faridoon, a left-arm wrist spinner, will play in the HBL PSL 9 for the Lahore Qalandars.
Faridoon will play for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League in 2021 as part of the team’s player development scheme.
Faridoon did not play in any of the games in 2022, despite being a member of the Qalandar side at the time.
“Whenever I am given the opportunity, I want to live up to the expectations of the team and the management,” stated the young spinner, who plans to make his debut in the upcoming season.
Pro athletes from throughout the globe participate in this competition, and my goal is to be on a level with them.
“My goal is always to limit the flow of runs in T20 cricket since your economy rate is essential.
I’ve learned a lot from Rashid Khan, with whom I’ve shared a dressing room over the past two years.
Khawaja Mohammad Nafay – Quetta Gladiators(QG)
Quetta Gladiators selected Khawaja Mohammad Nafee, a right-handed batter, for the next HBL PSL season. Nafe has prior experience playing in leagues with a franchise structure.
“My coach was with me when I heard that Quetta had chosen me. He worked so hard with me, and it made the occasion very unique.
Performing for the national team opens the door for your selection, so it’s really important to me.
“It gives me great pleasure to work alongside Jason Roy, Sarfraz Ahmed, and Muhammad Amir. I will learn a lot from these seasoned adventurers.
Shamyl Hussain – Islamabad United(IU)
The Quetta Gladiators have chosen right-handed batsman Khawaja Mohammad Nafee for the next HBL PSL season. Nafe has prior experience playing in leagues where teams are franchises.
