The Vision Pro, Apple’s first and much desired “native computing” product, is scheduled for a June 2024 WWDC release. Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, predicts that the release will take place in “late January/early February”.

Apple’s Vision Pro 2024 use a colour filter applied to a white organic light-emitting diode (OLED). WOLED+CF OLEDOS produces colour by passing white light from a WOLED through an RGB colour filter, whereas RGB OLEDOS combines both light and colour into RGB subpixels with a single layer.

LG Display provides the external 6-inch OLED that the Vision Pro uses. It can offer features like 145 PPI pixel density and 800 x 360 resolution.

The specifications are less than those of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, which was released this year and has a 460PPI pixel density and 2796×1290 resolution.

On December 24, the analyst shared with Apple enthusiasts some very exciting news: the first wave of Vision Pros will be supplied to Apple in around a month, with 500,000 units shipped overall for the entire year.

Reports, however, indicate that Apple is now expecting “less than 400,000” instead of the original one million.

Tim Cook, the CEO of the business, is the driving force behind the expensive device, which helps it fulfil the high standards for a VR device.

According to Kuo, the Vision Pro is “Apple’s most important product of 2024.”

How much does Apple Vision Pro cost?

That’s an uproar, especially if you were looking for something around the same price as Meta’s inexpensive Quest 2 headset, with Apple’s Reality Pro headset priced at $3499, making it the most costly consumer-focused headset ever produced a stand-alone VR/AR headgear. Surpassing the pricing of the £1299/$1099 HTC Vive Elite XR headset and the more expensive £999/$999 Meta Quest Pro in the market in 2023.
